Job Title Manufacturing Supervisor Position Overview Join Shaw’s Synthetic Turf division and help build innovative, high‑performance surfaces trusted by communities, athletes, and organizations worldwide. Shaw Industries is recruiting for a Night Shift Supervisor at our Bainbridge, GA facility to lead a production team on night shift. The Manufacturing Supervisor oversees departmental associates and ensures compliance with all safety, quality, production, waste, attendance, and housekeeping standards. This role supports daily operations, scheduling, and throughput improvements while working closely with other supervisors and the Turf Department Manager. The Supervisor also serves as Incident Commander for the Plant Emergency Response Team. This position is night shift - 8pm-8am. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Reports directly to the Turf Department Manager. Leads and monitors all Turf personnel to meet production and quality standards. Implements AODOC procedures and Plant 70 Safety, Quality & Environmental Policy. Conducts shift production and quality meetings; participates in QIT subcommittees. Responsible for the safety and performance of all Production associates. Promotes safety and quality; conducts weekly and monthly safety meetings. Ensures accurate Kronos timekeeping; issues corrective discipline as needed. Maintains excellent housekeeping; tours and inspects departmental areas each shift. Attends required company training and seminars. Supports morale‑boosting plant and department activities. Takes corrective action on shift audit findings. Creates shift schedules and ensures proper staffing, equipment usage, and product flow. Complies with Shaw Management System (SMS) procedures. Oversees on‑the‑job training for new, transferred, and promoted associates. Updates safety and procedural training materials as needed. Ensures timely completion of trainee files and submits them to Training. Responsible for associate health and safety; reports unsafe conditions and all accidents immediately. Maintains a safe, clean work area and ensures PPE usage. Must be able to walk, stand, bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and climb stairs as required. Must be available for call‑ins, holidays, weekends, and overtime. Education & Experience High School diploma required. Prior company experience with strong process knowledge preferred. Several years of supervisory or managerial experience (5–6 years preferred). Qualifications Strong attendance record and satisfactory work history. Effective supervisory, organizational, and people skills. Strong problem‑solving abilities; able to work with minimal supervision. Ability to make sound decisions aligned with departmental and company goals. Basic computer skills required. Must pass pre‑employment and substance‑abuse screening. Must be willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, and required overtime. Must wear PPE and work in a production environment.
