Manufacturing Supervisor IIPosition Overview
Shaw Industries is hiring a Twisting Supervisor to effectively lead and continuously develop the team through managing, monitoring, and maintaining the day-to-day operations of the department. Assure optimum balance of safety, quality, cost, service, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Ensures that proper training is given to all associates to perform their jobs appropriately and identifies training needs and communicates them to the Manager.
Provides hands-on coaching and support to associates to associates to improve performance and skill level.
Responsible for quality on shift and works with all associates to assure quality.
Maintains awareness of critical controls and ensures they are monitored and followed.
Ensure that SMS requirements are up to date and being followed by all associates.
Maintains good communication with associates to ensure optimal departmental safety and directs their activities when needed.
Schedules and assigns associates in the most effective manner to meet the schedule.
Ensures effectiveness of technicians relative to machine downtime and priorities.
Monitors performance of personnel; develops and communicates corrective action plans for associates requiring improvement.
Maintains associate attendance records according to current policies and updates Kronos.
Communicates with other departmental supervisors to maintain effective flow of material through the plant.
Notifies Production Planning personnel when schedule is not followed.
Maintains all required documentation of shift details.
Ensures that standards are communicated and met with regards to departmental housekeeping.

Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED required
Lead or Supervisor experience in manufacturing within the last 5 years required.
Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office
Able to make good decisions under pressure and in fast-paced production environments.
Able to manage assignments, machinery, and materials effectively.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with all levels of associates and establish positive associate relations.
Strong knowledge of the twisting process, set up process, and the key inputs that drive quality output.

12 Hr rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Act Calendar, shift starts PM, days change only
