Role Description: This is a part-time, hybrid Mental Health Counselor role based in McKinney, TX, with a combination of in-office sessions and some work-from-home flexibility.
We are currently looking for two clinicians.
- Child therapist
- Teen/ Adult/ Couples Therapist
The Mental Health Counselor will provide counseling using evidence-informed and holistic approaches aligned with Sharp Wellness’s integrative model. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting psychotherapy sessions and maintaining accurate, timely clinical documentation. The counselor will coordinate care as needed with other providers, offer psychoeducation, and support clients in building coping skills, improving communication, and working through relationship and emotional challenges. The role also includes participating in team consultations or clinical meetings, adhering to ethical and legal standards, and contributing to a collaborative, inclusive practice culture.
Qualifications
- Clinical skills in Mental Health and Psychology, with the ability to assess needs, formulate diagnoses within scope, and provide evidence-informed interventions.
- Experience with Treatment Planning and Case Management, including developing individualized plans, tracking progress, and coordinating care or referrals when appropriate.
- Active, unrestricted licensure (LPC, LMFT) in the state of Alabama,
- Demonstrated ability to work with kiddos, teens, individuals, couples, and/or families using an integrative and holistic approach.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, with comfort using electronic health records and telehealth platforms.
- Commitment to ethical practice, cultural humility, and maintaining client confidentiality in accordance with legal and professional standards.
- Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a closely related mental health field.
Salary : $55 - $75
