Job Summary
Responsible for ensuring that all digital content published by the Agencies is fully compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards, including materials available on public-facing websites and documents used to deliver public services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Interpret and apply federal and state web accessibility rules and policies, such as those published by the ADA.
- Perform remediation and validation of digital content to achieve and maintain full ADA compliance.
- Convert or edit a variety of content types, including:
- Website and CMS (Content Management System) content.
- Microsoft Word documents and spreadsheets.
- PDF documents.
- In-depth knowledge of web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG guidelines) and their application to various digital document formats.
- Proven ability to remediate complex PDF, Word, and Excel files for accessibility.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS), preferably Drupal, and website accessibility best practices.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with multiple agency stakeholders and convey technical requirements.
- Must be available onsite for meetings as needed, so local candidates only.
- Work will primarily be off-site.
