Summary
We are seeking a Data Center Regional Operations Director to oversee the daily facility operations of all data centers within the region, managing both internal and external resources to provide an exceptional customer experience. The Regional Operations Director will oversee teams throughout the region to ensure proper practices and procedures are followed, and will also provide Implementation Management support for certain key accounts to ensure successful service delivery.
ResponsibilitiesFacilities & Employee Management- Manage day-to-day operations of all facilities within the region.
- Oversee employee management including recognition, performance reviews, career development, corrective actions, and scheduling.
- Interview, hire, and train new employees; maintain training updates.
- Maintain Operations Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines.
- Work with the Manager of Implementations to ensure smooth customer implementations.
- Review all terms and conditions of customer contracts and orders.
- Serve as Implementation Manager for certain key accounts, overseeing project costs, PO requests, vendor coordination, and project health reporting.
- Create and deliver scopes of work for environmental consulting; work with Sales on environmental services proposals.
- Coordinate with Operations to ensure peer-to-peer connectivity and monitoring is in place for delivered services.
- Work with the Vice President of Data Center Operations to ensure environmental issues are handled and communicated correctly to customers.
- Set up and maintain environmental monitoring solutions for all managed facilities within the NOCC.
- Manage day-to-day operations of Air (Production & Distribution), Power, Fire, and Access systems.
- Proactively develop and implement maintenance activities.
- Report on all SLA-required activities.
- Maintain current and future status reporting on all capacity thresholds within the facility.
- Work with the Security Manager to ensure all access points are monitored and controlled.
- Manage all security issues to resolution and conduct post-mortems for future assurance.
- Create access levels for new clients, assign access levels to vendors, and oversee all aspects of security facility operations.
- Manage all sub-contractor agreements for building maintenance.
- Manage asset tracking processes and systems; produce asset reports for customers and internal stakeholders.
- Administer daily shift reporting and generate periodic operational reports.
- Oversee data policing for all operational KPI reporting.
- Maintain and update Business Continuity Planning documentation.
- Perform recurring SAS 70, SOX, and SOC 2 audits.
- Maintain updates and training for the Facility Operations Handbook.
- Serve as the owner for customer issue resolution; verify and analyze alerts.
- Conduct post-mortems on all customer complaints.
- Lead emergency action communications and serve as the sign-off point for customer transitions from engagements to operations.
- Generate and adhere to annual OpEx and CapEx budgets.
- Create, submit, and present capital project budget requests to the Capital Committee.
- Manage strategic initiatives on behalf of the company; set the vision, roadmap, and team structure for achievement.
- Monitor and manage activities associated with fulfilling the strategic vision.

- 7 years of experience managing critical facilities, preferably in a data center environment.
- 10 years of supervisory or personnel management experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be substituted.
- Fast-paced environment.
- Travel required.
