We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced IT Asset Management Specialist with hands-on expertise in ServiceNow to manage the full lifecycle of hardware and software assets across the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate asset records, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, and supporting the optimization of IT asset usage and costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of IT assets (hardware and software), from procurement to retirement.
- Utilize ServiceNow Asset Management and CMDB to track, update, and maintain asset records.
- Enforce and maintain naming conventions and standard asset tagging practices across all assets.
- Monitor and maintain hardware inventory (laptops, desktops, servers, mobile devices, peripherals).
- Track and manage software licenses, SaaS subscriptions, and usage compliance.
- Collaborate with procurement, finance, and IT teams to ensure assets are accurately recorded and reconciled.
- Identify and address discrepancies in asset records through audits and regular reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Create and maintain documentation related to asset processes and procedures.
- Provide reporting and analysis on asset utilization, compliance, and lifecycle management.
- Support incident and change management processes as related to asset tracking and changes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of experience in IT Asset Management or a similar role.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow (especially IT Asset Management and CMDB modules).
- Strong knowledge of hardware asset management (HAM) and software asset management (SAM).
- Understanding of naming conventions, ITIL best practices, and configuration management.
- Familiarity with license compliance, software metering, and vendor audits.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, ServiceNow reports, etc.).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or Asset Management certification.
- Experience working in enterprise-scale IT environments.
- Knowledge of IT procurement and contract management.
- Experience with audit preparation and compliance reviews.
