Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as SquareUp POS, ensuring timely delivery
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area to uphold sanitation standards
• Manage cash handling and cashiering duties accurately using POS systems like OpenTable or other restaurant-specific tools
• Foster positive guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols within the food industry
• Familiarity with POS systems such as SquareUp POS, or similar platforms for order processing and cashiering
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
• Experience with guest services tools like OpenTable for reservations and seating management
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with kitchen staff and team members
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and order calculations
• Knowledge of food preparation processes and kitchen operations is a plus
• Previous host/hostess or bussing experience is advantageous for providing seamless guest experiences
