Financial Services Representative
Financial Services Representatives provide members complete services
while cross-selling additional credit union products and services. They are responsible for account information, opening new accounts, handling consumer
loan requests and professionally handling member's needs.
This position is full time: 38-40 hours per week. . Shifts will vary between the hours of 8:30am-5:30pm Monday - Friday.
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
- Serve as a back up to the Member Service Representative role.
- Assisting members with opening and closing accounts including IRAs, Trusts, Business, Estate and Deceased.
- Completes domestic and foreign wire transactions requests in a timely manner
- Research, reconcile and answers questions for account concerns and questions
- Resolve problems that are within their authority to resolve. Anything beyond their authority, refer to their supervisor along with recommendations.
- Interview members to gather information concerning their loan needs, earnings, and financial condition.
- Explain loan options and make recommendations to the member.
- Take loan application.
- Analyze current financial position of member to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.
- Establish the terms and conditions of loan and review with member.
- Prepare and/or review all loan documents for completeness and accuracy.
- Review credit report to look for opportunities to put member in a better financial position.
- Complete any necessary file maintenance on loan file.
- Cross sells appropriate credit union products and services.
- Assist members with proper completion of payroll deduction, ACH, direct deposit forms and NADA quotes.
- Serve as a Notary Public and maintain an NMLS number.
- Perform other related duties as assigned; including but not limited to financial transactions, balancing a cash drawer and checks.
- Processes check orders and Instant Issue debit cards.
- Assist members with travel notes, completion of forms for disputed and fraudulent transactions.
- Answers phones and responds to members requests, problems, and complaints in a courteous and professional manner.
- Completes mandatory forms such as CTRs.
- Reports suspicious member activity to manager for completion of SARs.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience: Minimum of 24 months of similar or related experience
- Education: High school education diploma or GED equivalent minimum. Some college preferred
- Interpersonal Skills: Must possess interpersonal skills not limited to diplomacy, courtesy and tact for verbal and written discussions that involved giving information to members or other departments
