Residential Care Home
Position Title: Caregiver – 3pm – 11pm
Position Summary
The Caregiver provides direct care, supervision, and support to residents in a residential care setting. Responsibilities include assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), promoting independence, ensuring resident safety, supporting emotional well-being, and maintaining compliance with facility policies and state regulations. Every other weekend required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including:
- Bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting assistance
- Mobility support and safe transfers
- Continence care as needed
- Observe and report changes in residents’ condition.
- Assist with restorative and therapeutic activities as directed.
- Assist with medication administration according to facility policies and state regulations
- Provide supervision and ensure safety
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable resident environment.
- Assist with laundry and housekeeping duties as assigned.
- Ensure resident rooms and common areas remain free of hazards
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare providers, and coworkers
- Attend staff meetings and required training
- Participate in care planning and resident service planning meetings when requested.
Qualifications
· Previous caregiving, healthcare, residential care, or assisted living experience preferred.
· Experience working with older adults, dementia or disabilities preferred.
· Ability to provide compassionate resident-centered care.
· Strong communication and basic documentation skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Ability to recognize and report changes in resident conditions.
Pay: $18.00 - $19.50 per hour
