Position SummaryThe Electrical Technician will provide skilled electrical support across all SPF plants, assisting with a variety of projects ranging from basic building electrical issues to complex machine control systems. This role is critical to maintaining efficient plant operations and ensuring the reliability of electrical equipment, PLC systems, and drives. The technician will work closely with plant maintenance personnel on machine rebuilds, equipment upgrades, and troubleshooting.Key ResponsibilitiesTravel between Shannon plants to support electrical maintenance, repairs, and project needs.Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical issues, including building power, production equipment, and control systems.Support complex machine issues involving PLC logic, drives, and automated control processes.Install, maintain, and program PLCs and related components.Assist maintenance teams with machine rebuilds, electrical panel upgrades, and installation of new controls.Collaborate with operations and maintenance personnel to identify root causes and implement long-term solutions.Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures.Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance work.Qualifications3 years of industrial electrical experience preferred.Strong knowledge of PLC logic, troubleshooting, and process controls.Experience with PLC installation, programming, and maintenance.Familiarity with AC/DC drives, motors, sensors, and industrial automation systems.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control blueprints.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed).
