Night Auditor

About the Role:

The Night Auditor plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth financial and operational functioning of accommodation establishments during overnight hours. This position is responsible for reconciling daily financial transactions, auditing guest accounts, and preparing accurate reports that support management decision-making. The Night Auditor acts as the primary point of contact for guests during the night shift, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any issues that arise. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Ultimately, the Night Auditor helps maintain the integrity of financial records while contributing to a positive guest experience during non-business hours.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with property management systems (PMS) or hotel management software, preferred but not required.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work overnight shifts independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Night Auditor or in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Perform nightly audits of all financial transactions, including room charges, payments, and adjustments, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Reconcile daily revenue reports and prepare detailed audit reports for management review.
• Manage front desk operations during the night shift, including guest check-ins, check-outs, and responding to guest inquiries or concerns.
• Monitor security and safety protocols throughout the property during overnight hours.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure seamless communication across shifts.
