Assistant General Manager – Hotel Operations

In this key leadership role, you'll partner with the General Manager to oversee daily hotel operations, lead and develop high-performing teams, ensure brand and company standards are exceeded, and contribute to the property's financial success. You'll be a visible presence for both guests and associates, helping create an environment where service, accountability, and results come first.
What You'll Do
- Support all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring compliance with Shaner policies and franchise standards.
- Drive revenue growth, control expenses, and help achieve financial goals.
- Lead, coach, and inspire team members to deliver outstanding guest service.
- Oversee food & beverage operations, including bar management and banquet/event execution.
- Ensure exceptional guest service by resolving concerns quickly and professionally.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety and operational excellence.
- Monitor guest satisfaction, quality scores, and operational performance metrics.
- Assist with scheduling, payroll, budgeting and inventory controls.
- Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts, as needed.
- 1 year of hotel management or hospitality leadership experience; Marriott experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Hospitality Management or Business preferred.
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations, budgeting, and cost controls.
- Proven leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Experience with hotel property management systems.
- Ability to effectively interact with guests, associates, and leadership teams.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Knowledge of local attractions and area amenities preferred.
