Shane Smith Law is seeking a licensed North Carolina Of Counsel Attorney to join our growing personal injury team while maintaining your own independent practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants access to a consistent volume of qualified case opportunities without the overhead of generating new business.
Our Of Counsel attorneys receive an average of 12 qualified, no-obligation case opportunities each week, allowing you to evaluate and accept the matters that best fit your practice.
Case opportunities range from newly signed claims to mature files that are litigation-ready, complete with medical records and billing documentation. Our experienced team will provide remote support throughout the life of each case, from intake through settlement or trial.

Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and manage North Carolina personal injury and premises liability cases.
- Provide strategic legal counsel throughout the life of each case.
- Handle litigation when appropriate, including filing suit and managing the litigation process.
- Negotiate effectively with insurance carriers to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Collaborate with our experienced legal and support staff to efficiently move cases toward resolution.
- Deliver exceptional client communication and representation.
Qualilfications:
- Be licensed and in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar.
- Demonstrate strong initiative, professionalism, and self-motivation.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and team members.
- Be comfortable using case management software.
- Possess strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Be confident handling litigation and willing to aggressively advocate for clients when litigation is necessary.
- Personal injury experience is preferred but not required.
Requirements: Must currently hold a NC State Bar License. Premise experience is a plus!
Compensation: This is an Of Counsel position compensated through a competitive fee-sharing arrangement based on fees collected.
