Overview
Shane David Roofing is hiring a skilled, dependable Roofer or Roofing Laborer (Training Opportunities Available) to support residential, commercial, repair, and restoration work. You’ll work with a fast-moving crew focused on safety, production quality, and clean finishes. We are happy to offer internships for those looking to get into the construction industry, no work experience required.
What You’ll Do
- Perform tear-off, dry-in, and installation of roofing systems (asphalt shingles; metal and low-slope/membrane experience is a plus)
- Install and detail key components: underlayment, ice & water shield, drip edge, starter, step/counter flashing, pipe boots, valley metal, ridge vent, and ridge cap
- Inspect decking/sheathing, complete minor wood replacement, and ensure watertight prep before install
- Execute repair and leak-service work, including flashing corrections, sealant/caulking, and finish trim details
- Read plans/work orders, complete material takeoffs, and support scope accuracy in the field
- Operate hand/power tools safely; set ladders, staging, and fall-protection systems per company safety standards
- Maintain clean jobsites, complete punch-list items, and represent the company professionally with customers
What We’re Looking For
- Roofing or related construction experience helpful but not required
- Comfortable working at heights, on steep slopes, and in variable weather
- Ability to lift 50–80 lbs repeatedly and perform physical outdoor work all day
- Valid driver’s license required, Reliable transportation preferred
- Strong attendance, teamwork, and safety mindset
- Hardworking with a good attitude
