We are currently seeking a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Fleet Manager to join our leadership team. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow within operations management, lead teams, and take ownership of daily logistics, fleet readiness, and performance execution.
Key Responsibilities
Operations
- Support daily dispatch operations, including route assignments and rostering for Delivery Associates (DAs)
- Monitor real-time delivery performance and assist with rescues, route changes, and on-road issues
- Ensure all vans are inspected, fueled, and ready for daily deployment
- Track and report key delivery metrics such as on-time departures and route completion accuracy
Team Leadership & Support
- Assist with onboarding and training of new Delivery Associates to Amazon and company standards
- Support and lead daily stand-up meetings focused on safety, quality, and performance expectations
- Provide coaching, feedback, and performance support to team members
- Assist with conflict resolution and escalate issues when necessary
Fleet & Equipment Management
- Coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs with vendors
- Open and manage repair orders and Amazon tickets as needed
- Maintain accountability of fleet assets including vans, devices, uniforms, and safety equipment
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure operational readiness and reduce loss
Reporting & Compliance
- Review weekly performance scorecards and assist with improvement plans
- Ensure compliance with Amazon DSP standards and DOT regulations
- Support incident and accident reporting, including documentation and investigation
- Enforce safety protocols and escalate serious issues as required
Culture & Communication

Problem Solving & Adaptability
- Step in to perform delivery routes or operational duties when needed
- Troubleshoot issues with delivery technology (scanners, GPS, routing systems)
- Adapt quickly to changes in staffing, volume, and weather conditions
- Assist with scheduling and coverage during callouts or peak periods
Qualifications :
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Previous experience in logistics, delivery operations, fleet management, or warehouse leadership preferred
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and support a team
- Ability to work with urgency in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and solutions-driven
- Comfortable working with technology, including routing systems, performance tracking tools, and fleet management systems
- Basic mechanical knowledge of delivery vans is preferred
- Must have open availability, including weekends and holidays
- Flexible schedule and ability to adapt to operational needs
