Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and steering systems.
- Service vehicles with oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, wheel balancing, and tire service to ensure optimal safety and performance.
- Repair and replace critical parts such as brakes, powertrain components, axles, CV joints, when necessary.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for disassembly and reassembly of vehicle parts while adhering to safety standards.
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs performed using automotive diagnostics software; ensure all work meets quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair; experience is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics interpretation, and diagnostic procedures.
- Skilled in gasoline engine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to handle various maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake repairs, transmission work, wheel alignments, suspension servicing, shocks & struts replacement.
- Experience working on all vehicles; strong mechanical knowledge across diverse vehicle types is essential.
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment and maintaining safety protocols at all times.
- Virginia State Inspector a Plus.
- Able to drive a manual vehicle and bigger vehicles.
Work week is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with an hour for lunch,
Vacation after a year of service.
Pay is based on experience.
Health Insurance after 90 days.
Pay: $15.00 - $31.31 per hour
