Position Overview
Join Shamrock Services Group as a Residential Direct Support Professional. In our CILA program, you aren't just staff—you are a crucial part of a household. You will support 4-5 individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential home setting, ensuring they live safe, dignified, and fulfilling lives while fostering maximum independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Living Support: Assist with and teach skills related to personal hygiene, grooming, laundry, and meal preparation within the home.
- Medication Administration: Securely administer medications in strict accordance with Rule 116 and the oversight of our RN Nurse Trainer.
- Community Life: Transport and accompany residents to medical appointments, grocery shopping, religious services, and social outings.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe environment by identifying and reporting home maintenance needs and ensuring all Rule 50 safety standards are met.
- Clinical Documentation: Record progress on Individual Service Plan (ISP) goals, incident reports, and daily shift logs with professional clarity and accuracy.
Specific Requirements for CILA
- High School Diploma or GED: Required for inclusion on the Illinois Healthcare Worker Registry.
- Training: Must be willing to complete the Illinois DHS-approved 120-hour DSP training program (if not already certified).
- Driving: A valid driver’s license is required to operate agency vehicles for resident transportation.
- Availability: Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including rotating weekends and holidays, to ensure 24/7 home coverage.
