Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including GM models and heavy equipment, utilizing schematics and diagnostic tools.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, battery replacements, wipers, lamps/bulbs, belts, filter replacements, updates/programming recalls and fluid checks.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical knowledge to disassemble and reassemble vehicle components accurately.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with customers about repair needs and maintenance recommendations to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain detailed service records and complete all necessary documentation for each job performed.
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background working in the automotive repair industry with a focus on GM vehicles preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive systems including transmissions, powertrain, suspension, brakes, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
- Experience working with automotive diagnostics tools and schematics for precise troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and other mechanical repair instruments.
- Ability to work independently in a mobile environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to vehicle maintenance and safety.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate service vehicles safely.
