About Shaka Wear

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a creative and detail-oriented In-House Photographer to lead the visual direction of our product, photography, and video content. This role is critical in ensuring every shot reflects the authenticity, culture, and quality that define our brand.
About the Role
As our In-House Photographer, you'll be responsible for producing high-quality imagery across e-commerce, lifestyle, marketing, social media, and campaign content. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for composition, extensive lighting experience, and a deep understanding of streetwear culture and fashion photography.
Objectives of the Role
- Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality products, lifestyle, editorial, and campaign photography.
- Execute studio and on-location photo shoots for seasonal collections, lookbooks, and marketing campaigns.
- Set up and manage professional lighting for both studio and environmental shoots.
- Collaborate with the Creative, Marketing, and Design teams to develop visual concepts that align with the Shaka Wear brand.
- Maintain consistency across all visual assets for web, social media, email, and print.
- Retouch and color-correct images for commercial use.
- Organize and maintain digital asset libraries and photography equipment.
- Stay current with photography techniques, fashion trends, and emerging creative styles.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3 years of professional photography experience, preferably in fashion or streetwear.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating experience with streetwear, apparel, and lifestyle photography.
- Expert knowledge of studio lighting, strobes, continuous lighting, and light modifiers.
- Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
- Experience shooting both on-model and flat-lay product photography.
- Strong understanding of composition, color, and visual storytelling.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with video production and short-form social media content is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of current streetwear, sneaker, and fashion culture.
- Experience directing models and working with creative talent.
- Familiarity with Capture One is a plus.
- Basic video editing experience (Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve) is a bonus.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
