Furniture Movers & General Maintenance Workers Needed — Valdosta, GA
Immediate Hiring | Start Friday, July 31

We're hiring reliable workers

Furniture Movers (4 positions) | $18.00 per hour 

• Move furniture between rooms and buildings
• Lift and carry heavy furniture, up to 50 lbs individually (heavier items may require a two-person team lift)
• Work on stairs when needed
• Handle furniture carefully, no damage to institutional property

General Maintenance Workers (4 positions) | $22.00 per hour 

• Replace HVAC vent covers and filters
• Replace bedroom hardware
• Move equipment
• Perform light general maintenance tasks

Schedule

Furniture Movers:

• Friday, July 31: 9am–12pm, 1pm–4pm
• Monday, August 3: 1pm–4pm
• Tuesday, August 4: 9am–12pm, 1pm–4pm
• Wednesday, August 5: 9am–12pm, 1pm–4pm
• Possible extension: Thursday, August 6 and Friday, August 7, same hours, if work is not complete

General Maintenance:

• Friday, July 31: 9am–12pm, 1pm–4pm
• Monday, August 3: 1pm–4pm
• Tuesday, August 4: 9am–12pm, 1pm–4pm
• Wednesday, August 5: 9am–12pm, 1pm–4pm
• Thursday, August 6: 9am–12pm, 1pm–4pm
• Friday, August 7: 9am–12pm, 1pm–4pm
• Possible extension: Monday, August 10: 9am–12pm, 1pm–4pm, if work is not complete

Pay
Competitive hourly rate, paid weekly. Rate shared with applicants directly.

What We're Looking For

• Furniture Crew: able to lift up to 50 lbs individually and carry items up and down stairs
• Maintenance Crew: comfortable with basic hand tools and light repair tasks
• Reliable and punctual, able to commit to the full posted schedule
• Comfortable working as part of a team
• Previous moving or maintenance experience helpful but not required
• Must be able to follow instructions and work safely on institutional property
