- Handle various chemical agents safely while cleaning, disinfecting surfaces, and maintaining sanitation standards in compliance with chemical handling safety procedures.
- Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, moving supplies, furniture, or equipment following safe lifting practices.
- Maintain facilities by performing custodial duties such as trash removal, window washing, and light maintenance tasks like residential painting or minor repairs.
- Operate cleaning equipment efficiently to ensure optimal floor care including buffing, polishing, and stripping floors for a pristine appearance.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure a secure environment for staff and visitors.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to cleaning requests or concerns from staff or visitors, fostering a positive atmosphere.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and the use of various cleaning equipment including floor buffers is highly desirable.
