Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
- Handle chemical agents safely while performing sanitation tasks, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures.
- Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of supplies, furniture, and cleaning equipment following safe lifting practices.
- Maintain cleanliness by dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal to uphold sanitation standards.
- Assist with custodial responsibilities related to facilities maintenance and minor repairs as needed.
- Operate commercial cleaning tools and equipment efficiently while ensuring safety protocol adherence at all times.
- Support floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to preserve the appearance of flooring surfaces.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to cleaning requests or facility concerns from staff or visitors.
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and proper use of cleaning equipment.
- Experience handling chemical agents safely with awareness of chemical handling safety procedures.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while following safe lifting practices.
