Job summary
Shady Rays has a new opportunity for a Team Lead located in our temperature-controlled fulfillment center in Simpsonville, KY. The successful candidate will have proven experience in a similar role and have knowledge of fulfillment center best practices. This individual will be responsible for leading all aspects of 2nd shift operations and serve as the first level of leadership for warehouse team members.
Role and Responsibilities
- First level leadership for retail orders, store orders, bulk orders, and picking process
- Lead all aspects of 2nd shift operations.
- Approximate 2nd shift coverage – May to August / November to Mid-December. M – F 3:15pm – 12am
- Occasional Saturday work required – typically holiday weekends
- Provides coaching and counseling for values, productivity, quality, safety, and processes.
- Communicate business activities, goals, and changes in daily startup meeting
- Adjust staffing and assignments to meet KPIs and customer expectations for delivery.
- Audit processes for compliance
- Train new team members
- Provide servant leadership and continuous improvement mindset
- Working lead – perform pick/pack/ship functions as needed
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Minimum education requirement – High School Diploma/GED.
- Minimum (3) year leadership/supervisory experience
- Flexible to changing priorities
- Detail oriented
Preferred Skills
- Microsoft Office – (2) Years
- WMS Software, preferably SKU Vault and ShipStation
- Good interpersonal skills
- Agent of change
