Shadfar Facial Plastic Surgery. At Shadfar Facial Plastic Surgery (SFPS), patient care is top priority. Our nurses are involved in every aspect of their patients’ care and provide education and compassion to patients and their families. We are looking for a RN (Registered Nurse) to assist in a clinic office setting for facial plastic and reconstructive surgery patients. We need someone who is professional, considerate and reliable. We need someone with experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery, cosmetic surgery, and/or ear nose and throat clinic experience.
We prefer Oklahoma in state candidates ONLY given the need for starting as quickly as possible.

Responsibilities:
- Record a patient’s medical history accurately
- Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
- Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
- Scheduling and Rescheduling patient appointments
- Administer injections, prescribe medications, clean and dress wounds while educating patients and family members.
- Collect samples for lab testing as assigned
- Prioritizing patient confidentiality
- Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
- Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort and postoperative instructions
Position Summary: The RN provides quality and professional nursing care for patients following established standards and practices developed by Dr. Shadfar and the SFPS Team. Under the supervision of the Clinic Nurse Director and the Physician, the RN professionals must first and foremost have all their certifications completed. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing care to pre- and post-surgical patients. Nurses must be comfortable caring for patients who have undergone plastic and reconstructive surgery of the face. It is a demanding job but also very rewarding. our nursing team has time to get to know their patients and their families while providing the highest quality, safe, patient-focused care. Patient rooms will need to be fully stocked with all necessary supplies as part of your responsibilities. Nurse will need to assess patient symptoms and communicate with physician regarding assessment.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Proven experience as RN in ENT, Dermatology or plastic surgery office preferred.
- Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with hospital/clinical health, safety and sanitation standards and procedures
- Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
- Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology
- Good knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EPIC)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and able to handle stress
- Successful completion of RN license program is a must
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing program.
Licensure/Certification: Registered Nurse with current Oklahoma licensure. Current BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of continuous experience in a clinic setting preferred. Hospital or outpatient surgery experience also welcome.
