What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Assistant position at Shadescrest Healthcare Center?
As a maintenance assistant in a nursing home, you will be responsible for ensuring that the facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained for our residents. Your duties will include performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, painting, and repairing equipment, as well as troubleshooting and repairing any issues that arise. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.
Some heavy lifting and working outside at times.
Light plumbing and AC repair favorable.
The ideal candidate for this position will have experience working in a healthcare setting and a strong understanding of the unique needs of elderly residents. You should have excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure that the facility is always in top condition. Additionally, you should be able to lift heavy objects and work in a variety of environments, including outdoors and in confined spaces.
