Childcare Worker

Position Summary:  Under the supervision of the Childcare Coordinator, leverage who they are and what they have been given for the sake of the gospel by offering prompt and professional care for children’s physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs while providing childcare for Shades events. 

Competencies:

• Self-starter – Looks for ways to actively care for children without having to be told what to do.
   
• Reliable – Can be trusted to work when scheduled
   
• Encourager – Values and respects all people as demonstrated by listening and responding to others in helpful ways.
   
• Team Player – Sees the value of working on a team and sees that every task is important as it ultimately engages Preschoolers and their families with the gospel.
   
• Teachable – Able to adapt, learn, grow, and be flexible with unexpected changes and seeks feedback for improving professionally.

Responsibilities:

• Committed to working when scheduled
• Arrive on time 
• Work diligently to maintain a pleasant environment for the children, using all tools necessary to provide optimal experience for the child
• Serve pleasantly with other childcare workers
• Other related duties as requested by Childcare Coordinator or Preschool Minister
