Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC saw equipment, ensuring precise cuts of various materials such as sheet metal and fabricated components. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and familiarity with manufacturing processes to produce high-quality parts efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Operate CNC saw machines automated cutting equipment, following detailed blueprints and specifications.
- Set up, load saw, and able to run a fork lisft.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications for accurate fabrication.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC Saw and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
- Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, and other tools to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Handle additional fabrication tasks such as packing, and warehouse task.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols involving cranes, hand tools, and other machinery.
- Assist in the setup of auxiliary equipment such as forklifts or cranes for material handling when necessary.
- Be able to lift Weights of 75 pounds.
Skills
- Proficiency in CNC sawing aluminium and hard metals.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to machining processes, tooling setup, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and apply GD&T principles for precision manufacturing.
- Experience with quality inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of safety procedures involving forklifts, cranes, hand tools, and heavy machinery in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances.
- Effective problem-solving skills combined with a strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality output.
