What are the responsibilities and job description for the SAW OPERATOR position at ANCHOR FABRICATION KANSAS?
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Plans and lays out work from blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions for the purpose of producing quality product to specifications in a timely manner. Monitored by self and supervisor.
- Sets up, utilizes, and adjusts tools for the purpose of sawing material according to specifications. Tasks include entering cutting data, attaching blades, and adjusting as needed.
- Measures, marks, and scribes’ material for the purpose of preparing material for cutting. Tasks may include calculating lengths, utilizing templates, and various measuring equipment.
- Transfers completed products to the shipping department’s quality control department for final inspection and shipping preparation.
- Other tasks as assigned by supervisor will be performed to address unexpected situations or needs that may arise
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
- High school education or equivalent, required.
- Experience reading and working from blueprints and specifications, required.
- 6 months of trade school, vocational education, work experience or apprenticeship, preferred.
Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions:
- Ability to lift 40 pounds independently.
- Frequent standing, pulling, bending, squatting, and twisting required.
- Exposure to shop environment.
