THE VENUE
SHACK15 occupies 51,000sq ft on the third floor of the iconic Ferry Building with undisrupted views of the SF bay and Bay Bridge. We currently have a cozy, members-only lounge space, a delicious café, bar and restaurant run in partnership with award winning chefs from the Nordics, and also a dedicated workspace with amenities like meeting rooms, fixed desks and phone booths. By day, our members’ lounge is a place for professional collaboration and by night, a fantastic space to have a drink, attend events, mingle, bring friends and network with other entrepreneurs, founders and creatives.
THE ROLE
The Memberships Manager plays a key role in shaping the member experience at SHACK15. This position is responsible for managing the entire membership lifecycle—from attracting and onboarding new members to ensuring an engaged, satisfied, and thriving community. The ideal candidate is highly personable, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating a welcoming and dynamic environment for SHACK15’s diverse membership base.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain high-quality members aligned with SHACK15’s mission
* Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective and existing members, ensuring a seamless onboarding
process
* Foster relationships with members through regular check-ins, personalized touchpoints, and exclusive
programming
* Oversee the membership application process, ensuring a curated and well-balanced community.
* Work closely with the events, marketing, and operations teams to enhance the overall member experience.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Minimum of 5 years experience working with luxury hospitality or Members Clubs with proven success
managing sales activities and results
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills
* Bachelors degree or higher preffered
* Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
* Knowledge of membership growth strategies and retention
* Energetic, flexible, personable, and a team player
* Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate evening
programming and social engagement
