What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Bartender position at SHACK15?
Event Bartender – SHACK15
Ferry Building, San Francisco, CA | Part-Time / On-Call
SHACK15 is a members' club and event space at the Ferry Building in San Francisco. We host private events for some of the most interesting companies and people in the city — product launches, dinners, receptions, and everything in between. The bar is a central part of the experience, and we need someone who treats it that way.
What you'll do
Set up and break down a full bar for private events, execute cocktail service for groups ranging from 20 to 300 , and keep the floor moving without being asked. You'll work closely with our events team and front-of-house staff to deliver a seamless experience from first pour to last call.
What we're looking for
- 2 years bartending experience, preferably in event or high-volume environments
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer
- Fast, clean, organized — you own your station
- Comfortable working independently and reading a room
- California RBS certification required (or willingness to obtain before first shift)
- Food Handler's Card required
What makes someone stand out
You don't wait to be directed. You notice when something needs to happen and you handle it. You're as comfortable behind a packed bar at a 250-person reception as you are doing a quiet pour at an intimate dinner. You care about the guest experience, not just the transaction.
Logistics
- On-call / event-based scheduling — primarily evenings and weekends
- Shifts typically 4–8 hours
- Competitive hourly rate
Salary : $30
