Dining Room Server
Duties:
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
- Provide menu recommendations and answer questions about the menu
- Serve food and beverages to guests promptly and accurately
- Upsell additional items or specials to enhance the guest experience
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in with guests during their meal
- Clear tables and reset them for the next guest
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
- Handle cash transactions and operate a cash register
Skills:
- Proficient in using OpenTable or similar reservation management software
- Strong sales skills to upsell menu items and promote specials
- Experience in the food service industry, preferably in a restaurant setting
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures and ability to operate a cash register
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management skills to ensure timely service to all guests
