Audiology Technician—Locations include San Francisco, San Rafael, Sonoma, and Walnut Creek

We have excellent opportunities for Audiology Technicians to work full-time at SH Audiology clinics in the Greater Bay Area. Audiology Technicians are important members of our team, work closely with audiologists, and support excellent patient care and service. Limited part-time positions may be available at some locations.

Audiology Technicians perform tasks that are prescribed, directed, and supervised by audiologists including, but not limited to, testing equipment set up, operation and maintenance; clinical procedures, device orientation and training; hearing aid trouble shooting and repair; maintaining records related to patients, supplies, equipment; clinical activities including patient intake, scheduling, referral management, chart record-keeping, provider support requests, follow-up, customer service and other administrative support. Knowledge of patient screening, interviewing techniques, and Electronic Health Records systems such as EPIC and Sycle is a plus.

The Audiology Technician will receive full training in all the duties and will be registered with the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board as an Audiology Aide.

Required Qualifications

  • College degree and six months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience with a science or counseling background.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Pleasant and clear speaking voice that is understandable and audible to people who are experiencing hearing challenges.
  • Comfortable with computers and technology, including spreadsheets such as Microsoft Excel and Access, word processing programs such as Word and Google Docs, and Electronic Health Record systems such as Sycle, EPIC a plus.
  • Knowledge and abilities essential to successful performance of duties assigned to the position.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
