Responsibilities
- Assist with site preparation including clearing debris, unloading materials, and setting up work areas
- Support carpenters, masons, electricians, and other tradespeople by handing tools and materials as needed
- Operate basic construction equipment under supervision to aid in tasks such as digging, lifting, or moving materials
- Trash removal from job site to landfill using company truck and trailer - experience with driving trailer with ball hitch required.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment for all team members
- Load and unload construction materials and supplies efficiently and safely
- Maintain cleanliness of the work site by removing waste and organizing tools and equipment
- Perform routine inspections of tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
Experience
- Prior experience in construction is required
- English fluency
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of construction safety standards and practices is a plus
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to follow directions accurately
- Reliable work ethic with punctuality and a positive attitude towards learning new skills
