This requisition is for an onsite Biospecimen Coordinator. The contract is currently six months, with a possibility of extension based on performance and business need:
- Compensation: $30.00 per hour pay rate/maximum.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Overtime may be required based on business needs)
- Education Requirement: Min. High School Diploma or equivalent
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Biospecimen Coordinator. This role is essential to our daily operations, ensuring that sample shipments are processed, triaged, and tracked with high precision. You will be instrumental in maintaining accurate chain of custody and supporting various workflow improvements within the BioSample Management Group.
Core Responsibilities:
· Sample Intake & Triage: Receive, open, and triage incoming sample shipments, directing them to the appropriate testing locations.
· Accessioning & QC: Perform sample accessioning and conduct quality control checks on demographic data entry to ensure accuracy.
· Client Communication: Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding held or rejected samples, resolving issues promptly.
· Labeling & Documentation: Execute sample labeling and perform final quality control checks to verify labeling accuracy.
· Pathology Support: Image stained slides returned from Pathology, ensuring all deliverables are met within established timelines.
· Logistics Coordination: Manage internal and client requests, including global sample shipments, while maintaining rigorous chain of custody standards.
· Operational Management: Oversee the team inbox to ensure all requests are tracked and completed.
· Process Improvement: Lead and drive deliverables for assigned process improvement workstreams within the BioSample Management Group.
· General Support: Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with biosample management and assessioning; good Google Suite/Microsoft office skills (e.g., MS Word/Excel, Google Docs/Sheets, etc.); experience with LIMS or other sample tracking software.
