Role Description The Project Estimator (Construction) is a full-time, hybrid role based in High Springs, FL, with some work-from-home flexibility. The role involves preparing detailed cost estimates for water infrastructure and related construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing project plans and specifications, performing quantity take-offs, coordinating with project managers and field teams, and analyzing bids from suppliers and subcontractors. The estimator also assists with project budgets, client-direct proposals, change proposals and communicates estimate assumptions and risks to the project team.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess Construction Estimating and Project Estimation skills to prepare detailed, accurate bids and proposals.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with project managers, engineers, field teams, vendors and external partners.
- Relevant experience in construction or water infrastructure projects, preferably in an estimating or project controls role.
- Proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and construction management tools.
- Strong analytical and mathematical abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work both on-site in High Springs, FL and remotely in a self-directed manner.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
