Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Fire Protection Engineer to support the design, analysis, and implementation of fire protection systems for large-scale Semiconductor, AI Data Center, and Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in NFPA standards, hydraulic calculations, fire suppression system design, and multidisciplinary engineering coordination.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and specify fire protection systems, including sprinkler, standpipe, deluge, fire pumps, and fire water storage systems.
- Perform hydraulic calculations and fire water demand analysis to determine pipe sizing and system capacities.
- Develop equipment specifications, material requisitions, technical evaluations, and engineering documentation.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities throughout project execution.
- Ensure fire protection system designs comply with NFPA, FM Global, ASME, IBC, IMC, and applicable local codes.
- Review engineering deliverables, resolve technical issues, and provide recommendations for complex design challenges.
- Support testing, commissioning, and acceptance of fire protection systems in accordance with NFPA requirements and AHJ regulations.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers and designers, and support engineering best practices.
- Manage engineering subcontractors and monitor design quality, schedule, and contract compliance.
- Troubleshoot field engineering issues during construction and provide effective technical solutions.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in fire protection engineering within Semiconductor, AI Data Center, or Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical industries.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 13, NFPA 14, NFPA 214, FM Global standards, and applicable mechanical/fire protection codes.
- Proven experience performing hydraulic calculations, fire suppression system design, and multidisciplinary engineering coordination.
