Position Summary
The Automation Mechanical Technician is responsible for inspecting, testing, maintaining, and repairing SGPS rental servo winches and related equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability. This role supports daily operations by troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and maintaining accurate service records, while adhering to all safety standards and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
Responsibilities:
· Conduct thorough inspections of SGPS rental servo winches and servo equipment to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
· Perform comprehensive testing procedures to identify and diagnose equipment issues or malfunctions.
· Execute preventive maintenance tasks and routine checks to maximize equipment lifespan and reliability.
· Effectively troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components of servo equipment, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
· Maintain detailed records of equipment inspections, tests, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with company standards.
· Ensure all equipment meets quality and safety standards.
· Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines when working on equipment, minimizing the risk of accidents or injuries.
· Assist in monitoring and replenishing spare parts and tools to ensure readiness for equipment maintenance.
· Work closely with team members and supervisors to provide valuable input and support for ongoing process improvement.
· Any other action deemed reasonable or significant by management.
Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent. A relevant technical degree or certification is a plus.
· Proven experience in mechanical equipment inspection, testing, maintenance, and repairs.
· Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
· Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety procedures.
· Proficiency in using various hand and power tools.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
· Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
· Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry objects weighing up to 50-75 lbs. independently and heavier loads with team assistance.
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, climb, grip, and reach regularly throughout the workday.
· Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to safely operate tools and equipment.
· Stamina to perform physical tasks for extended periods, often in fast-paced or time-sensitive environments.
· Ability to work in varied conditions, including indoor warehouse environments and outdoor job sites, sometimes in inclement weather.
· Must be able to wear and properly use all required PPE (personal protective equipment), including steel toe shoes, gloves, safety glasses.
· Ability to work in an industrial environment.
Working Conditions
This position is performed in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature fluctuations, frequent exposure to noise, dust, and moving equipment. Shift schedules may include early mornings, late evenings, or weekends depending on business needs.
Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
