Position Summary
Equipment Technicians work with reusable medical equipment (RME) used to deliver care. Equipment Technicians are responsible for cleaning, preparing and inventory of equipment. Equipment Technicians maintain and store reusable medical equipment while Performs regular/routine cleaning and expiration date checks.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
High School Diploma or GED preferred; six (6) months prior experience preferred in storeroom, central supply, sterilization and cart exchange, or Pyxis Supply Station operations. Good overall knowledge of medical/surgical supplies and usage.
WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Regularly required walking, reaching, stretching; standing for long periods of time; climb or balance; stoop kneel, or crouch; talk or hear, and smell. Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and risk of radiation; moderate noise level.
