DEPARTMENT: CARDIOLOGY SERVICES
SCHEDULE: Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift, 8
POSITION SUMMARY Performs a variety of duties related to cardiac diagnostic testing. Maintains standards of quality; assists in monitoring and reporting QA activities in department as necessary. Responsible for coordinating procedures and ordering supplies. Acts as department technical liaison to management - assists with evaluating new equipment, procedures, and protocols; communicates problems with EKG equipment to appropriate repair person. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES High school graduate preferred. Additional formal training and education is preferred. EKG Tech II preferred. Should be eligible for CCI credentials (certification preferred). Current CPR certification is mandatory. Must be experienced and competent in all EKG, Holter, and stress testing procedures. Considerable and frequent mental effort required. Ability to organize and manage in a high stress environment.
