What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Officer Associate position at SFMC Home Lending?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Loan Officer Associate assists a designated Loan Officer(s) in originating and processing loans.
Duties include:
- Reviewing the initial loan application.
- Requesting required documents, including follow up if needed.
- Calculating income in order to validate data.
- Running AUS and reviewing findings.
- Preparing and sending prequalification letters.
- Preparing the initial disclosure package.
- Reviewing and preparing loan documents for submission to Processing.
- Managing the Loan Officer(s) calendar, including follow-up, appointment setting and time blocking as appropriate.
- Primary point of contact for phone calls.
- Managing the CRM, including follow-ups with warm leads and closed loans.
- Pipeline management, including scheduled pipeline reviews, daily tracking and weekly status calls to customers.
- Utilization of designated Sales tools and reporting methods.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- 4 years of mortgage experience, including all areas of the loan process, as well as a thorough knowledge of FHA, Conventional, VA and USDA product financing.
- High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree is a plus
- NMLS License required

- Sales aptitude is a plus.
