What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Operations Demonstration Associate position at Sewer Equipment?
This is a travel-focused, hands-on role that works directly with customers and dealers across assigned territories. The primary responsibility is to travel with and demonstrate heavy machinery, educating customers on the safe operation, features, and benefits of our equipment. This is a traveling position, supporting field demonstrations, dealer visits, customer sites, and trade shows.
This role is an excellent entry point into a growing company and industry. Previous team members in this position have successfully advanced into Inside Sales and Outside Sales roles. No prior industry experience is required - we will train you.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Travel regularly to customer and dealer locations to demonstrate equipment operation, safety, and benefits.
- Work closely with Territory Managers and dealer sales teams to support sales efforts in the field.
- Provide hands-on equipment demonstrations and training for customers and dealers.
- Transport, pick up, and deliver demo equipment safely using company trucks and trailers.
- Perform routine maintenance and ensure cleanliness of demo equipment, trucks, and trailers.
- Attend and work trade shows, field demos, and customer events.
- Communicate effectively with internal sales teams regarding customer needs and feedback.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Commitment and Location:
- Full-Time Role
- Extensive travel required, including overnight travel during the week Monday - Friday.
- Occasional weekend travel for trade shows or special events.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong customer service and communication skills.

- Mechanical aptitude.
- Basic knowledge of engines, water pumps, and vacuum systems preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Education and Experience:
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Business, preferred.
- Able to obtain a Class A CDL with Tank Endorsement license. (training provided by the company).
Physical Requirements:
