Position Overview
This position works with considerable independence and self-direction. Only general direction and scope of the work to be accomplished are discussed with supervisor.

Position Description
- Assist FitWell members with check-in, including: ensure members scan in and sign waivers, process electronic payments, and answer questions about the facility
- Monitor the facility for safety issues and report any safety concerns to the Director of FitWell or the Manager of FitWell Operations
- Report any concerns about equipment
- Ensure that equipment is routinely returned to its proper location
- Document and report any policy or procedure violations to the FitWell Manager of Operations using the incident report protocols
- Follow assigned cleaning procedures–including wiping down of equipment, vacuuming, laundering towels, and other cleaning duties as assigned
- Stock necessary supplies and equipment–including filling spray bottles, wipes, etc.
- Provide information about gym classes, services, and special events offered by the Wellness Commons, including tours of the facility when requested by visitors
- Assist in coverage of opening shifts and weekend hours of operation
- Other tasks as assigned by the Manager of FitWell Operations or the Director of FitWell

Attributes of a Successful Candidate
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
1 years of related experience.
Job-Related Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Proficient in basic communication applications and platforms, including Fusion Innosoft and G Suite
- Knowledge of basic gym operations and fitness services is desirable
Supplemental Information
- Work is performed at the FitWell Front Desk.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Assist in coverage of opening shifts and weekend hours of operation
- 20 hours total a week are allotted for these two part-time positions
- Shift 1
- Sunday: 12 pm-6 pm (6 hours)
- Monday: 6 am-8 am (2 hours)
- Tuesday: 6 am-8 am (2 hours)
- Shift 2
- Wednesday: 6 am-8 am (2 hours)
- Thursday: 6 am-8 am (2 hours)
- Friday: 6 am-8 am (2 hours)
- Saturday: 10 am-2 pm (4 hours)
- Flexibility in scheduling to assist with accommodations for breaks and university holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to climb (many stairs, ladders).
- Must be able to crawl and/or kneel.
- Must be able to push and/or pull objects.
- Must be able to lift between 21-50 pounds (medium work).
- Must be able to carry between 21-50 pounds (medium work).
