What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Service Worker position at Sewall Child Development Center?
Sewall Child Development Center is seeking a Family Service Worker to join our Head Start team at The Dahlia Center for Health and Well-being. The Family Service Worker collaborates closely with classroom teachers providing services and support to families in the Head Start program. This position involves relationship building, case management, monthly meetings with families, out reach to potential families and flexibility with scheduling allowing for some evening and weekend work hours.
Applicants must have a B.A. in Social Work, Psychology, Child Development or a related field. In addition it is necessary to have excellent verbal and written communication skills a well as being a team player. Experience with the early childhood population and people who learn differently is required.
