General Labor

Job Summary:  Responsible for helping assemble and prepare products for shipment by placing raw materials or products into manufacturing machines to aid the assembly process, packaging finished products and organizing them for shipments, and completing checks on equipment and products to ensure quality production.

Responsibilities:

Depending upon production needs and individual performance, employees may be assigned to work on any line in any position

• Ensure that production requirements and standards are met consistently
• Make every effort to increase productivity and efficiency without compromising quality
• Complete packaging tasks such as box assembly, packing, and taping
• Operate machinery correctly and maintain it with care
• Report any machinery issues to management
• Work cooperatively with the production team to meet quotas and goals
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Observe all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management
• Follow all written and verbal instructions
• Attend all safety and production training
• Any other task deemed necessary by the company Work on the production line with consistent speed and accuracy

• Other job duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Reliable and punctual
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
• Able to work 12-hour shifts, standing
• Willingness to comply with all safety guidelines at all times
• Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends
• Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude
• Good communication skills
• Ability to understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English or Spanish

Work Environment:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; and toxic or caustic chemicals
• The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock
• Hot or cold temperatures
• The noise level in the work environment is loud

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift or move up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to stand for long periods
• The employee is frequently required to walk and talk or listen to other employees/line leaders/supervisor
