Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse
- Assist in interventional radiology procedures including angiography, biopsies, and vascular interventions
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures
- Administer medications including conscious sedation
- Maintain sterile technique and ensure patient safety at all times
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide patient education and post-procedure care instructions
Requirements of the Travel Nurse
- Active Illinois or Compact RN license
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS (required)
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology or critical care nursing experience
- Strong knowledge of procedural sedation and patient monitoring
