Job Summary
At Seven Grille, the Host plays a pivotal role as the first and last point of contact for our guests.
This position requires a polished and personable individual who can set the tone for a refined
yet approachable dining experience. As a Host, you are not only responsible for greeting and
seating guests with warmth and professionalism, but also for maintaining the flow of the dining
room and supporting the overall guest experience.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a calm and composed demeanor,
and the ability to manage multiple priorities with grace. This position also provides backup
support to the service team as needed, contributing to smooth and efficient operations
throughout the restaurant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome and greet all guests upon arrival, creating a positive and inviting first

impression.

• Maintain a professional and approachable presence at the front desk at all times.
• Accurately manage guest reservations and waitlists using the restaurant’s table

management system.

• Escort guests to their assigned tables, presenting menus and providing basic information

about the restaurant or any specials.

• Ensure all tables are properly set, cleaned, and cleared in the reservation system before

seating new guests.

• Monitor and manage table turnover, pacing of seating, and server sections to optimize

the guest experience.

• Assist with guest needs including child accommodations such as booster seats or

highchairs.

• Handle special guest requests, including birthdays, large parties, or ADA seating

preferences.

• Coordinate communication between the front-of-house and back-of-house to support

timely seating and flow of service.

• Serve as a backup to servers as needed during high-volume shifts or to maintain guest

satisfaction.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entryway, and dining areas.
• Assist with light bussing and resetting of tables when needed.
• Ensure guest satisfaction from arrival to departure by being attentive, accommodating,

and responsive.

Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a host, guest service, or front-of-house role preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, high-end

dining environment.

• Polished and professional appearance, with strong interpersonal and communication

skills.

• Positive attitude and welcoming demeanor, with a natural ability to make guests feel at

ease.

• Ability to remain composed under pressure and manage fluctuating guest volume with

efficiency and grace.

• Must be able to stand for extended periods and walk throughout the restaurant.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with upscale or fine dining establishments.
• Familiarity with reservation or table management software.
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to step into other roles as needed.
