About the position
This is a full-time hybrid position, combining remote work with regularly scheduled days in our Bethesda office.
The ideal candidate has at least five years of title processing experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates exceptionally well, and takes ownership of every file from contract through closing. You’ll work closely with lenders, attorneys, real estate agents, buyers and sellers to ensure every transaction is handled accurately, efficiently, and with outstanding client service.
Responsibilities
· Open and manage residential purchase, refinance, and cash transaction files from contract through closing.
· Review purchase contracts
· Resolve title issues, prepare title commitments and satisfy all closing requirements.
· Order and review payoff statements, HOA/condo information, surveys, tax information, and other required documentation.
· Prepare deeds, affidavits, settlement statements, Closing Disclosures, title documents, and all ancillary closing documents.
· Review lender instructions and loan documentation to ensure compliance.
· Prepare, balance, and finalize Closing Disclosures.
· Coordinate with lenders, real estate agents, buyers, and sellers throughout the transaction.
· Schedule closings and confirm all closing details.
· Maintain electronic notes within Qualia.
· Respond promptly to emails and phone calls while providing proactive updates throughout the transaction.
· Ensure every client experiences a smooth, professional settlement.
Qualifications
· Minimum of five (5) years of residential title processing experience required.
Title Licensed in MD/DC or VA or best if all 3.
· Licensed notary, or willingness to apply
Thorough knowledge of title insurance, escrow procedures, and residential real estate transactions.
· Experience preparing deeds, balancing Closing Disclosures, settlement statements, title documents, and related closing documents.
· Strong understanding of lender instructions and loan documentation.
· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
· Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
· Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong problem-solving abilities and the confidence to work independently.
· Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
· Proficiency with Qualia or similar title production software.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and cloud-based technology.
