Settje Agri-Services and Engineering Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Site Superintendent to lead agricultural construction projects in the field. This position requires a self-starter who is comfortable working independently, making on-site decisions, and taking full ownership of project execution. Travel is required, with the ability to be on the road up to four nights per week, depending on project location.
The Construction Site Superintendent is responsible for managing all on-site operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for daily on-site construction operations, including scheduling, sequencing of work, and coordination of subcontractors
- Enforce all safety regulations and company policies, maintaining a safe and compliant jobsite at all times
- Lead, direct, and hold accountable construction crews and subcontractors to meet productivity and quality expectations
- Act as the primary on-site representative, communicating consistently with project managers, engineers, and clients regarding progress, issues, and schedule impacts
- Monitor job costs, track labor and materials, and assist with accurate and timely financial reporting
- Ensure all construction work strictly adheres to project plans, specifications, and quality standards
- Utilize construction management software, including Procore, for daily reporting, documentation, scheduling, and project tracking
- Travel to project sites as required, including overnight travel up to four nights per week
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of construction experience, preferably in the agricultural or industrial construction sector
- Proven ability to work as a self-starter, with minimal supervision, while managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced field environment
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated experience supervising crews and subcontractors
- Thorough knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations
- Ability and willingness to travel overnight up to four nights per week is required
- Experience using Procore construction management software is strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and consistently meet project deadlines
