What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Director position at Seton Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center?
The Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assume administrative authority, responsibility and accountability for supervising and directing maintenance department
- Develop and implement repair and maintenance schedules for all areas of facility and grounds
- Supervise schedules for repair and maintenance contractors
- Participate in facility inspections and develop a plan of correction for Maintenance Services deficiencies noted
- Ensure that supplies are requested, approved, and ordered according to policy.
- Maintains building appearance and accessibility for residents and staff
- Has a mastery level of technical expertise (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural knowledge)
- Possesses the ability to make independent decision when circumstances warrant action
- Possesses the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, resident, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public
- Has a positive attitude and cheerful disposition
- Is flexible and always willing to go the extra mile in terms
- Strives to ensure the safety of our residents
- Follows procedures and safety precautions
- Has excellent leadership and communication skills
- 1 year's supervisory experience required. Previous long-term care experience is desirable.
- Maintenance experience in all areas of machinery and facility repair required.
- Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
- Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching
- Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull light weights
