Job Title: Online Testing Proctor for Seton Testing Services, which is a division of Seton Home Study, a Catholic non-profit home schooling service.
Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Testing Proctor to join our team for the testing season, February through July, with the potential to transition into a full time role subject to order volume. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and administering various tests, assessments, and examinations in a controlled environment. This position involves ensuring compliance with all testing protocols, providing support to test participants, and managing the logistics associated with the testing process. The Testing Proctor will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and fair testing conditions and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and oversee a variety of tests, exams, or assessments, ensuring that they are conducted in compliance with established procedures and standards.
- Verify the identity of test-takers and ensure adherence to testing guidelines.
- Provide phone support to test takers when technical difficulties or testing questions arise.
- Respond to any questions or issues from test-takers during testing, maintaining professionalism and adherence to guidelines.
- Assist with the scheduling of testing sessions and communicate with participants regarding their test times and locations.
- Compile and report test data, results, and participant feedback to testing team.
- Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes to enhance efficiency and participant experience.
- Attending weekly meetings.
- Reports to Head Testing Administrator.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Previous experience in an office environment is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in managing test-related materials and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other common office software.
- Familiarity with online testing platforms is a plus.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure, especially in situations involving test-takers' concerns.
Working Conditions:
- There are both part time and full time positions available at this time.
- Seton’s office hours are from 8 am- 5pm EST.
- All proctors must work on site in Front Royal, VA.
